Cookie policy

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels and SDK identifiers. They help sites work, remember preferences, or measure usage.

We use cookies and similar storage in line with UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR:

• Strictly necessary - required to deliver the site, remember your cookie choices, and keep the site secure. These do not require consent.
• Analytics (optional) - to understand how visitors use the site in aggregate. We plan to use Google Analytics 4 only after you click “Accept” on our cookie banner. Until then, no analytics cookies are set for that purpose.
• Third-party embeds - when you open booking (SevenRooms), maps (Google) or social links, those providers may set their own cookies under their policies.

Names may change when we update software. Typical examples:

• laika-cookie-consent - stores your cookie choice (necessary only / analytics accepted). Duration: up to 12 months. Type: strictly necessary for compliance.
• Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*, etc.) - only if you accept analytics and we enable GA. Used for usage statistics. Provider: Google. Policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
• SevenRooms - cookies may be set when you use the reservation widget or visit their booking pages. Provider: SevenRooms.
• Google Maps - cookies may be set when you interact with embedded maps. Provider: Google.

Use the cookie banner on first visit to accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can change your mind by clearing site data in your browser and reloading, or contact us and we will explain how to reset preferences.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in settings. Blocking all cookies may break parts of the site.

To opt out of Google Analytics after acceptance, use Google’s tools (for example browser add-on) or withdraw consent via our banner when we offer a preferences control.

When we add services (such as Google Analytics), we will update this policy and the banner version. Last updated: 19 May 2026.
